PAINTING IN EARLY AGES

Cave Painting
The history of painting starts with caves. Early man lived in caves and he lived mainly by hunting, and gradually, he began to decorate the rock faces in the recesses of caves. Early man created images of bison and reindeer which he hunted, and these were the first paintings ever created.
These kinds of cave paintings have been discovered in many parts of the worlds, from Europe and Africa, to Australia. Nearly 30,000 years old rock face was discovered in a cave in Namibia in 1969. Later some more discovered in Southwest France and Northern Spain. Grotte Chauvet is a beautiful painted cave in France. This cave has several very large galleries with more than 300 paintings and engravings that were probably done 32,000 to 30,000 years ago. Most of the paintings shows the rhinoceroses, felines, bears, owls and mammoths, owls, hyenas and panthers...etc.

Sahara is the world's largest hottest desert.It covers most of the North African Countries like Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea,Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Western Sahara, Niger. The Length is 4,800 KM and width is 1800 KM totally the area is 9,400,000 KM2. The Sahara is one of the hottest places on Earth. Even though temperatures there may rise to 136 F (57.7 C), its dryness, not heat, that makes a place like the Sahara a desert. The frozen continent of Antarctica is so dry that some scientists consider it a desert, too.

As the world's largest desert, the Sahara receives less than three inches (7.6 cm) of rain a year. Even in its wettest areas, rain may arrive twice in one week, then not return for years. Rock art, archeological sites, architecture, ancient manuscript, flora and fauna are the tourist attractions in Sahara. Arabic is the most widely spoken language in the Sahara region, from the Atlantic to the Red Sea.
