I am feeling very proud as an Indian to publish this article. Our India has many great scientist in thousands of years before and they were invented all most all the latest technologies in these days, but many facts were disappeared because of some rude principles in Hinduism, Religious crusades and British ruling in India.
I am just trying to give our scientists list from ancient to modern ages.

ACHARYA KANADA ( 3000 B.C. to 1000 B.C or 6th Century BCE) Expertise : Atomic Theary
ACHARYA KANADA was a Hindu sage and philosopher. He probably lived around the 2nd century BCE, while other sources claim he lived in the 6th Century BC. But some sources are saying that he belongs to the age of 600BCE.
Many believe that Kanada originated the concept of atom. An interesting story states that this theory occurred to him while he was walking with food in his hand. As he nibbled at the food in his hand, throwing away the small particles, it occurred to him that he could not divide the food into further parts and thus the idea of a matter which cannot be divided further came into existence. He called that indivisible matter as ' Anu ' .i.e. atom. Adherents of the school of philosophy founded by Kanada considered the atom to be indestructible, and hence eternal. They believed atoms to be minute objects invisible to the naked eye which come into being and vanish in an instant. This Indian concept of the atom was developed independently and possibly prior (depending on which dates one accepts for the life of Kanada) to the development of the idea in the Greco-Roman world. Indian theories about the atom are greatly abstract and enmeshed in philosophy as they were based on logic and not on personal experience or experimentation.
According to author Dilip M. Salwi, "if Kanada’s sutras are analysed, one would find that his atomic theory was far more advanced than those forwarded later by the Greek philosophers, Leucippus and Democritus."
The infinity pool on the roof is in the 'SkyPark' which spans the three towers of the hotel. The platform itself is longer than the Eiffel tower laid down and is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Infinity pools give the effect that the water extends to the horizon. In reality, the water spills over the edge into a catchment below, and is then pumped back into the pool. The pools have two circulation systems. The first functions like that of a regular pool, filtering and heating the water in the main pool. The second filters the water in the catch basin and returns it to the upper pool.
It features in the impressive, boat-shaped 'SkyPark' perched atop the three towers that make up the world's most expensive hotel, the £4billion Marina Bay Sands development in Singapore.
The hotel, which has 2,560 rooms costing from £350 a night, was officially opened yesterday with a concert by Diana Ross.
But with its indoor canal, opulent art, casino, outdoor plaza, convention center, theater, crystal pavilion and museum shaped like a lotus flower, the Marina Bay Sands has taken its crown.

Laughing Buddha is a symbol of joy and wealth. Nowadays everyone, even who are not following the Buddhism and Taoism those are also started to feature the Happy Buddha in their homes and offices. This practice is even grown up in the western countries too. This article is a small try to know about the laughing buddha.
History
The history of the smiling or Happy Buddha can be traced back to the Bodhisattva Maitreya.
The names like Smiling, Fat, Laughing or Happy Buddha are just western nomenclature for this figure. He is usually depicted with a shine bald head, wide smile, a huge exposed belly and a bag. Because of the bag that the Chinese call him as "Budai". The Japanese name for him is "hotei" which has the similar meaning.
History doesn't record a confirmed actual person that fit the descriptions and legends of this Happy Buddha. Indian folklore are suggesting that the "Maitreya" was originally "Angida", an Indian man who is catching snakes, who become one of the regional "Arhats" of "Buddhism".
On the other hand, Chinese tradition on the Buddha history records that Maitreya or the Happy Buddha was originally a monk who lived in China during 10th Century of AD. His name was Qieci and is said to have come from the province of Fenghua.
Whatever the actual origins of the Happy Buddha, history records that his influence has been tremendous in Asia. Buddhism, Taoism and Zen Buddhism have all embraced the Happy Buddha as the embodiment of happiness and prosperity. His influence can be felt in China and Japan, and other countries where Buddhism and Taoism have taken root, such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Bennett designed the Fountain to represent Lake Michigan with four sea horses, built by Marcel Loyau, to symbolize the four states that touch the lake: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Bennett attributed the design specifically to the influence of the Latona Basin in Louis XIV's gardens at Versailles. Kate Buckingham dedicated the structure to the people of Chicago in 1927 in memory of her late brother, Clarence. At the time, she also established a $300,000 trust fund to ensure that the taxpayers would never have to cover all of the repair and upkeep costs associated with the fountain. The funds for the $2.8 million restoration that was done in 1994 came from the Buckingham Fountain Endowment Fund, which the Art Institute of Chicago has administered. Funds from the Buckingham Fountain Endowment Fund also helped fund a portion of the 2008-2009 project. The Fountain is constructed of Georgia pink marble. The Fountain has remained intact except for a brief theft of two carved fish heads from the fountain, weighing several pounds each. The fish heads were recovered when a salvage place was offered the pieces and the buyer thought they looked very familiar and reported them.

Five Rivers Fountain of Lights – Dayton, Ohio, USA
The Five Rivers Fountain of Lights is created by five water jets housed in concrete towers and a powerful center geyser. The towers straddle the confluence of the Great Miami and Mad Rivers just east of the Riverside Bridge and shoot 2,500 gallons of water per minute toward the center of the river. The central geyser rises from the jets to a majestic 200’ in the air. Covering 395,000 square feet across an 800’ diameter, the Five Rivers Fountain of Lights is one of the largest fountains in the world.
Harnessing such an awesome fountain requires a few tricks as well. The Five Rivers Fountain of Lights is equipped with directional wind sensors. If the wind is blowing in a direction and at a velocity that could interfere with area traffic or other activities, individual jets of the fountain will not operate. Also, during the cold months when water could create hazardous conditions on nearby roads and recreation trails, the fountain is turned off.
Late May to mid-October: Monday-Friday, 6:52 am - 9:52 pm, and weekends 11:52 am - 9:52 pm. The fountains operate for 16 minute intervals straddling the top of the hour; during the aforementioned daily run schedule.
Note: The fountain system could be disabled at anytime during a particular 16 minute interval run times due to wind speeds that exceed the systems wind limits in a particular direction.
The fountain's majesty is echoed even when the fountain is not running. Sixty-foot stainless steel and aluminum spires adorn the tops of the fountain towers. These sculptural pieces of architecture reflect sunlight and create beautiful moray patterns. The spires are lit throughout the year by 25 "intelligent lights" that can produce an infinite number of colors.

Mulholland Memorial Fountain – Los Angeles, California,
USA
The Mulholland Fountain, dedicated August 1, 1940, soon came to be known at the "Kool-Aid" fountain because of the way that colored lights illuminated the water at night. This 1940s postcard highlights that effect. William Mulholland was a 'penniless Irish immigrant' and a self-taught engineer who became head of the Los Angeles Bureau of Water Works & Supply at a time when business and civic leaders in Los Angeles were realizing that development would remain limited without additional water resources. Mulholland, with the support of another visionary, Fred Eaton, implemented a plan to redirect water from the Owens Valley on the eastern slopes of the Sierras. The result of their efforts, the Los Angeles Aqueduct, is one of the great engineering wonders of the world. Employing 5000 workers and 6000 mules, the 238- mile long aqueduct was completed under budget in record time. Mulholland, the poor immigrant who lived for a time in a one-room wooden shack near the present-day fountain died in 1935. The fountain dedicated to him was completed in 1940. Approximately 3,000 people attended the dedication ceremony on August 1, 1940. A memorial plaque at the foot of the fountain reads, 'To William Mulholland (1855-1935): A Penniless Irish Immigrant Boy who Rose by the Force of his Industry, Intelligence, Integrity and Intrepidity to be a Sturdy American Citizen, a Self-Educated Engineering Genius, a Whole-Hearted Humanitarian, The Father of this City's Water System, and the Builder of the Los Angeles Aqueduct. This Memorial is Gratefully Dedicated to those who are the Recipients of His Unselfish Bounty and the Beneficiaries of His Prophetic Vision.' The Mulholland Fountain is located at the Intersection of Riverside Drive and Los Feliz Blvd. in Los Feliz. It was declared an Historic-Cultural Monument in the City of Los Angeles in 1976 (No. 162).

Ross Fountain – Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh
Ross Fountain is an ornate iron fountain from the mid-19th century located
at the west end of the gardens. Figures depicted on the fountain include mermaids
and four females depicting science, the arts, poetry and industry. A final female
figure stands at the apex of the fountain. After being cast in the Durenne Ironworks
at Haute-Marne in the early 1860s, it was displayed at The Great Exhibition in London in 1862 where it was seen by philanthropist and gun-maker Daniel Ross, who bought it for the City of Edinburgh. Having been transported in 122 pieces, it arrived in Leith in 1869. Great deliberation followed as to the most appropriate location for the statue, with it finally being installed in Prince's Street Gardens in 1872.
There was notable controversy at the time surrounding the fountain - in particular,
Edward Bannerman Ramsay, Dean of the nearby St John's Episcopal Church, described
it as "grossly indecent and disgusting". In 2001 a major refurbishment allowed water
to flow again for the first time since 1996. Ross Fountain is now a Grade B listed
structure.
Ponte Dom Luís – Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal
Tanner Fountain – Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
Designed by landscape architect Peter Walker of SWA Group based in Berkeley, California, the 60-foot-diameter circle of 159 stones, placed in a loosely concentric fashion, emerges primordially from the ground, with water generated at the center by 32 nozzles.
The resulting shallow, ground-level pool with its hovering mist has become a gathering place, a playground, a Zen-like respite from the labors of academia. And it's not a seen-it-once experience. The fountain has many faces — refracting rainbows through the mist on sunny summer days, lit at night, shrouded in steam from the heating plant in winter, dusted with snow. Each of the stones — byproducts of clearing New England farmland at the turn of this past century — is a hefty 2 feet by 4 feet, but buried so that only 16 to 18 inches of their surface is above ground. Bucking tradition, the fountain is not centered or placed along an axis but straddles an interface between asphalt walkway and lawn and encompasses two trees. Aesthetically it connects constructed and natural worlds, and melds organic and artful, primeval and modern. In the world of fountain design, even after 20 years, Tanner Fountain is still outside the box, sophisticated in its simplicity, but succeeding because it is also engaging, drawing passersby into its inner circle.

The Mirage – Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
The new $25 Million Dollar Mirage volcano, designed by the same company which developed the Fountains of the Bellagio newly opened on December 8, 2008! The new Mirage volcano erupts every hour with a 4 1/2 minute free show, featuring water shooting 120 feet above the Volcano with 120 fireballs thrown into the air, choreographed to a new musical score. The technology being used allows the Mirage volcano to be more realistic in both more appearance and island setting. Steam pours from the sides of the volcano, water flows down crevices on the sides of the mountain, and fire and flames sprout from numerous openings.
The Unisphere – Queens, New York, USA
Unisphere is a 12-story high, spherical stainless steel representation of the Earth.
Located in Flushing Meadows – Corona Park in the Borough of Queens, New York
City, the Unisphere is one of the Borough's most iconic and enduring symbols. The
Unisphere, commissioned to celebrate the beginning of the space age, was conceived
and constructed as the Theme Symbol of the 1964/1965 New York World's Fair. The Theme of the World's Fair was "Peace Through Understanding" and the Unisphere represented the theme of global interdependence. It was dedicated to "Man's Achievements on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe." Designed by landscape architect Gilmore D. Clarke, the Unisphere was donated by the United States Steel Corporation and constructed by American Bridge Company. It is the world's largest global structure, rising 140 feet and weighing 700,000 pounds. Some sources say the Unisphere weighs 900,000 pounds, a figure which includes the additional weight of its 100-ton inverted tripod base. The diameter of the sphere itself is 120 feet, or 36.57 meters. It is constructed of Type 304L stainless steel. Built on the structural foundation that supported the 1939/1940 New York World's Fair's Perisphere, Unisphere is centered in a large, circular reflecting pool and is surrounded by a series of water-jet fountains designed to obscure its tripod pedestal. The effect is meant to make Unisphere appear as if it is floating in space.

Germany Gift of the children of Samuel and Minnie Untermeyer located within the center of the North Garden at the Central Park Conservatory Garden stands the bronze Untermeyer Fountain, known as the "Three Dancing Maidens." Three smiling young woman dance around the limestone base of the fountain as they playfully reach for each others hand. The delicate water sprays their bodies while their dresses swirl about as if in motion. It was sculpted by Walter Schott in 1910, and came to the Garden as a gift of the Samuel Untermeyer Family in 1947.
Vaillancourt Fountain – San Francisco, California, USA
This fountain, with its geometric concrete limbs askew, has been controversial since
its dedication, in 1971, when people passed out handbills calling it a "howling
obscenity" and "pestiferous eyesore." It was designed by Armand Vaillancourt, who
has fought several efforts to demolish it. The Justin Herman Plaza is placed right
in front of the Ferry Building, near the base of the Bay Bridge at the Waterfront.
This is a perfect place to begin a leisurely stroll down the Embarcadero, with plenty of scenic piers with gorgeous views of the bay. The Vaillancourt Fountain is an impressive if jarring work of modern art, with its giant concrete fingers reaching straight to the sky. In 1989, in a fit of artistic inspiration, U2 musician Bono spray-painted the fountain, earning him a citation for vandalism. Claiming that his addition was merely his artistic expression, he nonetheless incurred the anger of San Francisco's mayor. Still the site of community events, jazz concerts, and other attractions, this court is the center square from which you can plot your Embarcadero shopping and dining. Times & Dates
